The construction of the clinic which we started in April 2005, is now finished and operational. This modern dispensary became fully operation from 1st August 2006. The opening ceremony took place on 14th August 2006. The inauguration ceremony was preceded by Hon. Moses Akaranga assisted by the Nigerian High Commissioner and the local M.O.H. The colorful event was attended by many people from within and afar. Response from the local community is great, as a number of professionals are willing to volunteer and support the program. The friends and partners of Caritas Mariana from other parts of the world, especially Austria have also been great supporters, from the start of this program.
The dispensary has come at the right time to provide what the surrounding community has been lacking for a long time, that is an easily accessible healthcare center. Our vision is to have a fully established healthcare institution with the resources at our disposal. Through our friends and donor partner support we shall achieve this noble vision.

One of the major challenges facing Kenya today is provision of basic medical care to her citizens for healthy national development. The strategy to achieve this entails the participation and inclusion of people of goodwill in and outside Kenya. The health situation in the country is of great concern that it calls for proper systems and policies to help curb this multi-dimensional phenomenon whose relative levels vary considerably over space and time. It is for the reason that Caritas Mariana and its partners have come up with a health program to provide healthcare to a population of more than 30,000.
To be the leading healthcare provider in the region.
In response to this Caritas Mariana has established a community dispensary that will be taking care of more than 30,000 people surrounding the orphanage. The children in the home will also benefit out of the project.
The initiative will enhance both Government and private capacity in delivery of essential health care to the population in the program area.
The program will require external funding for five years before it will be able to fully sustain its self.
The following are the beneficiaries of the program:
The quality health care services in this facility include the following: Doctors Consultation (MB.CHB)
