On Sunday, Nov. 27th 2011 about 70 guests joined Caritas Mariana Members in celebrating the ten year anniversary in the Afro-Asian Institute in Vienna.

Stefan Lausch conducted the evening with his renowned confident charme.

Two volunteers reported their humanitarian stays in Kenya as well as the volunteer work in the organisation in Austria.

The vice president of Caritas Mariana Austria, Mag. Fellner reports about the history with all challenges and successes of the past ten years.

The musical highlight: The humorous operette "The Telephone", presented by Patricia Higgins-Weigl (Soprano), Brian Bales (Bariton) und Jean Brom (Piano).

Karl Mayrhofer Jr. auctioned two valuable Massai figures.

Lastly the vice president took the opportunity to thank the sponsors of the event, the numerous helping hands as well as long time supporters such as Franz Jäger and the Bridge to the Third World Kopfing.

In the past years the Bridge to the Third World has supported Caritas Mariana by 80.000 Euros in donations and sponsorships as well as 80.000 Euros in public aid money, being the financial backbone of Caritas Mariana.

The Afro-Asian Institute offered the hall free of charge, Ströck bakery donated bread, as delicious as healthy and the City of Vienna supported advertisement with 400 Euros.

Johanna and Daniel Schnugg took the long journey from Salzburg to provide a professional buffet offering sandwiches, fresh coffee and car driver friendly but still chrismas-y punch.

The Wiener Neustadt and Linz wards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints donated cakes and and lots of beautifully wrapped Christmas cookies for the buffet that could be purchased by a donation.

The Spanish-Austrian Assication of Business Men donated another 500 Euros, the Austrian National Bank 800 Euros.
